Bhagavad Gita App Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 12, 2026
The Bhagavad Gita Android app is designed for offline reading of Bhagavad Gita chapters, shlokas, translations, bookmarks, daily shloka, search, and reading preferences.
Information We Collect
The Android app does not require account creation and does not collect personal information such as name, email address, phone number, contacts, location, photos, or payment information.
Local App Data
The app stores bookmarks, recently viewed shlokas, reading progress, streaks, daily goal, notification preference, dark mode, and font size preferences locally on your device. This data is used only to provide app features and is not sent to our servers.
Internet Access
The app bundles Bhagavad Gita content with the installation package. Core reading, search, daily shloka, bookmarks, and settings work offline. If a user opens external links or shares content through another app, those actions may be handled by third-party apps or services.
Notifications
The app may ask for notification permission if you enable the optional daily reminder. This reminder is scheduled locally on your device and does not require a push notification server.
Analytics and Advertising
The Android app does not include advertising SDKs, paid APIs, chatbot features, or AI services. The website may use analytics for website traffic, but the standalone Android app features described above do not require personal data collection.
Data Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We do not share app-local bookmarks, reading progress, or settings with third parties.
Children
The app provides spiritual and educational reading content. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Contact
For privacy questions, contact the BhagvatGeeta.com team through the website contact or support channel.
Changes
We may update this policy when app functionality changes. The latest version will be available at this page.
